Size of Employee Groups Over Time

Three employee groups make up the staff of Adams 12 Five Star Schools. The three groups are administrative/technical (principals, assistant principals, district administrators), classifed (support staff) and certified (teachers). Information on Administration

Based on the Colorado Department of Education's information that looks at each school district's budget, comparing the percentage of salary and benefits by job classification, Adams 12 Five Star Schools ranks among the lowest in administrative costs.  

The state average is 8.1 percent and Adams 12 Five Star Schools comes in at 6.7 percent.

Information on Staff Based Out of the Educational Support Center (ESC)

Student learning is supported in a variety of ways by the staff who are a part of the district’s central office. Of the roughly 400 staff members housed at the Educational Support Center (ESC), the majority of workers are classified support staff (42 percent). About a third of the staff are administrators while 28 percent of ESC staff are certified teachers.

More than half of the ESC staff provide more than 75 percent of their time in schools providing assistance to students and staff.
