Goal
Support the district in achieving the goal of having 95% of students meeting grade level requirements in reading, writing and math.

Functions
- Provides direction, coordination and support to schools in the planning, development and implementation of building level interventions and programs for students with special needs, including At-Risk and Gifted and Talented
- Works to provide a continuum of educational services for all students
- Assures IDEA compliance by monitoring federal and state mandates and regulations pertinent to students
- Balances the department budget
- Collects and analyzes data to guide decision-making and for assessment of program effectiveness
- Provides resource allocation to sites and programs
