Principal named for new Anthem school

Benallo to start work in July 2017

The start of construction on a neighborhood school in the Anthem community of Broomfield fulfilled a long-time wish for local families.

The new school’s principal Teresa Benallo shares the community’s excitement.

“I’m thrilled to be the principal of this amazing new school community,” she said. “I know it’s a dream come true for the community and it’s also a dream come true for me.”

Mary Shea, Thornton HS alumnus inducted into the CHSAA Hall of Fame

A three-sport athlete at Thornton High School, Mary Shea played volleyball, basketball and tennis for the Trojans. Shea was a starter in all three sports, earning all-conference honors from the beginning of her collegiate career.

Adams 12 Five Star Schools outpaces state and narrows minority gaps

Adams 12 Five Star Schools has increased its four-year, on-time graduation rate more than 6 percent in five years, climbing to 80.1 percent* for the Class of 2015. This is also the fifth consecutive year the Five Star District has met or exceeded the state average, this year reported at 77.3 percent by the Colorado Department of Education.

Parent Engagement and Satisfaction Survey Results

Record number of parents provide valuable feedback to schools

Last spring, Adams 12 Five Star Schools parent community responded in record number to the 2016 Parent Engagement and Satisfaction Survey. A total of 5,730 parents across the Five Star District participated in the online survey, in English and Spanish, more than doubling the amount of participants in 2012.
