Dear Northglenn High School Community,

Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year! I hope that you had a relaxing and enjoyable summer break.

As we enter the 50th year Northglenn High School has been servicing young adults, I am a proud to say that I am a graduate of Northglenn High School, class of 1986, and I consider it a privilege and honor to serve in the principal position. I anticipate a very exciting school year. With great students, an amazing staff and the involvement of parents and community members, great academic accomplishments are sure to come.

The 2015-2016 school year marks the third year we welcome incoming freshman with STEM education. We are a comprehensive high school and are excited about the educational opportunities our students will have within the STEM Pathways, Advanced Placement and College Preparation courses.

The staff at Northglenn High School is fully dedicated to your child’s personal and academic growth, and we rely on your active participation and support to achieve our goals for your child. We believe that open communication between parents and teachers is the foundation for your student’s success in school. The parent/student handbook and the school website will provide you with important information about our policies, practices and procedures. Parents and students can also access Infinite Campus on our website. Infinite Campus allows parents and students to access current attendance, grades, and other important information directly related to your student’s education. Please check grades and attendance and discuss both with your student regularly. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the administrative staff.

Please note the important dates and school information listed in this newsletter. On September 25th we will host the 50th Anniversary Celebration. We are very excited to celebrate the rich history of NGHS and the chance to come together as a community to celebrate the amazing educational opportunities we provide for our students. This event will also kick off our Homecoming week. Powder Puff, the Homecoming football game and the Homecoming dance will be just a few of the fun events our students will be participating in during the week of September 28th.

Northglenn High School is a wonderful school and community with endless potential. I look forward to working together to accomplish our goals. It is a great day to be a Norseman.
