Free and Reduced Application

Free and reduced meal benefit applications available online

If your student attends a non-participating school (Northglenn High School, Thornton High School, Academy Charter School, Stargate Charter, Prospect Ridge) this payment service is not available. Please check with school staff to determine your payment options.

If you believe your children qualify for free or reduced priced meals, we encourage you to complete your application promptly or apply online. You may obtain a paper application from your child's school office or your kitchen manager. This not only helps extend your budget, but may also assist your school in receiving additional "at-risk" funding. Although we are allowed 10 operating days to process applications, we will process your application as quickly as possible. YOU MUST PAY FULL PRICE FOR MEALS, UNTIL THE APPLICATION IS APPROVED.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE: If your student was approved for free and reduced meals in our school district last year, we automatically extend the free and reduced status for the first 30 operating days of the next school year.

Even if you do not wish to have your child participate in the free or reduced price meals program, we encourage you to complete and submit an application as this can benefit the district through at-risk funding. We treat your student's free and reduced status as highly confidential. If your income changes, at any time, you are welcome to re-apply for free or reduced meals. If your student is approved for free or reduced meals, we encourage you and your student to take advantage of this valuable benefit, which helps stretch your family budget.

Not all of our schools are on the National School Lunch Program. At these schools, parents fill out a Family Data Survey in order to see if they qualify for a free or reduced meal status. Students are not eligible for the first 30 days of temporary status. These schools are: Northglenn High School, Thornton High School and the district charter schools. Please contact these schools for more details regarding their lunch programs.
