Overview

The IB K-12 continuum begins with the Primary Years Program (PYP) in grades K-5, continues with the Middle Years Program (MYP) in grades 6-10 and culminates with the Diploma Program in grades 11-12.  Students can enter the IB program at any grade level.

Primary Years Program

The PYP is offered school-wide to all students at Coronado Hills, Leroy, McElwain and Thornton Elementary schools. 

Middle Years Program

The 6th, 7th and 8th grade portion of MYP is currently offered school-wide to all students at Century Middle School and The International School at Thornton Middle.

The 9th and 10th grade portion of MYP is offered school-wide to all students at Thornton High School.

The 11th and 12th grade Diploma Program is offered on an application basis at Thornton High School.

Admissions

Admissions to the school-wide IB programs (at Coronado Hills, Leroy, McElwain and Thornton Elementary Schools, Century Middle, The International School at Thornton Middle, and Thornton High School) are managed by the Choice program.

Admissions to the application based Diploma Program at Thornton High School is managed directly by the school.  Please visit the school's website for more information about their program.
