Adams 12 Five Star Schools offers Mandarin Chinese language programs at Hulstrom K-8 and Mountain Range High School.
All Hulstrom K-8 students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades receive Mandarin Chinese as a specials rotation. Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades may select Mandarin Chinese as an elective.
All students attending Mountain Range High School can select Mandarin Chinese as an elective.
In addition, Mountain Range has a Global Studies Program which aims to advance scholarship through the design and sequence of an integrated, curricular experience founded in the study of one of four World Languages (French, German, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish), culture/history/ politics, and International Marketing & Business. Students admitted to the Mountain Range High School Global Studies program make a four year commitment.
Admissions to Hulstrom K-8 are managed by the Choice Program.
Admissions to Mountain Range High School's general education population are managed by the Choice Program. A list of schools open to Choice is available on December 1 each year by clicking here. Depending on the year, Mountain Range may or may not be open to Choice.
Admissions to the Mountain Range High School Global Studies program are managed directly by the school. The program accepts applications from students who reside inside and outside of the Adams 12 boundaries. Priority is given to in-district students with any remaining spaces being available for out-of-district students. For more information, click here.
