Resources and services for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
The Marion Downs Center serves hearing impaired people and their families from infant to adult, both citizens and non-citizens.
Services are provided for all ages (infants through adults) and include: hearing aids, speech and hearing clinics, sign language classes, and developmental/learning screenings for kids. Services are provided in English and limited Spanish.
-There are fees associated with the sign language classes and medical care.
-Accepts Medicaid/Medicare/CHP+ private insurance and offers sliding scale for uninsured
-Hearing tests are $25
-Sign language classes are 12 weeks on Monday nights and cost $100 for beginner and $130 for intermediate.
