Summer School

ALL SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION MUST TAKE PLACE AT THORNTON HIGH SCHOOL June 13 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. There are NO other registration sites or dates available at this time.

The District 12 Summer School Program is for High School students who need CREDIT REPLACEMENT and for Middle School students who need remedial skills to continue to the next grade level. Elementary School classes may be available at your student’s home school.

Summer School dates: June 15-28 and July 6-19, 2011. There will be NO classes held June 29 to July 5.

Location: Thornton High School, 9351 Washington Street., Thornton CO 80229.

Transportation will only be available from District 12 Middle Schools (except Thornton Middle School). Pick up and drop off times will be available at registration or upon request after June 1, 2011. The Middle School transportation fee is $90. The High School student transportation fee is $45 per class, or $90 for both sessions. There is no early registration discount for transportation.

Walk-in Registration: June 13, 2011 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

NO REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER 8:00PM on MONDAY JUNE 13, 2011.

All Walk-in Registration will take place at Thornton High School. Please look for the Summer School signs. DO NOT attempt to register at the main office.

High School early registration can be completed at your student’s home school. Information can be obtained through the counseling center, and submitted to the Book Keeper’s office. Early registration ends May 15, 2011.

High School courses are for CREDIT REPLACEMENT only. All high school grades will be pass/unpass and will NOT affect G.P.A. High School Summer School is focused on credit recovery. All high school students MUST provide an updated transcript at registration.

Attendance is essential at summer school. Both middle and high school students have a three period day. Once a class has been impacted by attendance 5 times (5 periods), the student with be withdrawn from the class. This includes a tardy or absence, excused or unexcused. There will be NO REFUNDS for attendance withdrawals.
