Student Teacher Application Process

STEP 1: Submit your student teaching application to your college or university.

STEP 2: Your College or University will submit your request with required documentation to the Adams 12 Student Teacher Placement Coordinators.

Application deadline for Adams 12 fall placements is April 15.  Application deadline for spring placements is November 1.

A Complete application includes:

  • Student teaching application from your college or university
  • Resume
  • Transcripts (unofficial copies accepted)

(All documents should be emailed to be considered.)

STEP 3: The Student Teacher Placement Coordinators then attempt to make the requested placement(s).

STEP 4: The Principal and potential cooperating teacher may call and request an interview or more information from the student teacher prior to accepting placement.

STEP 5: The Student Teacher Placement Coordinators will contact your college or university to notify whether you have been placed in a student teaching assignment. 

STEP 6: You begin your student teaching experience.
