Construction will start soon on the first phase of a two-year renovation and reconstruction of STEM Lab in Northglenn.
The school community will celebrate the upcoming start of construction with a groundbreaking ceremony at 9 a.m., Thursday, May 18 at the school.
Design work has begun on eight district schools scheduled to receive improvements in 2018 as part of the Adams 12 Five Star Schools 2016 Bond Program.
Mountain View, North Mor, North Star, Stukey, Westview and Woodglen elementary schools are all scheduled to receive important renovation work as well as upgrades to building infrastructure and mechanical systems, and security enhancements.
Design work is also under way on planned expansions to Arapahoe Ridge and Cotton Creek elementary schools.
The start of a construction on a neighborhood school in the Anthem community of Broomfield fulfilled a long-time wish for local families.
The new school’s principal Teresa Benallo shares the community’s excitement.
“I’m thrilled to be the principal of this amazing new school community,” she said. “I know it’s a dream come true for the community and it’s also a dream come true for me.”
Work has began on more than 30 construction and improvement projects planned for Summer 2019 as part of the ongoing 2016 Bond Program.
Projects include the start of construction such on a second district Career and Technical Education Center campus; the completion of a two-year renovation of STEM Lab in Northglenn; larger second phases of work at Horizon and Northglenn high schools ...
