Bond improvements start at Legacy High School

The first of multiple summers of planned bond work at Legacy High School got off to an early start this spring.

Grading work began in April for the installation of a new, lighted, multi-purpose artificial turf field to replace an existing grass soccer practice field. The 2016 BondProgram prioritized the installation of artificial turf practice fields at each of the district's five comprehensive high schools as a lower maintenance alternative to traditional turf fields that also lessens district water usage.

Construction remains on schedule despite cold, wet weather

Construction moved forward on the FutureForward at Washington Square construction site in February despite a prolonged spate of cold weather and moisture.

Work on concrete slab pours as well as the installation of the building roof were both slowed down in February but construction of the building remained on schedule to open for the 2020-2021 school year.
