The new Thunder Vista P-8, under construction in Broomfield, hit a milestone in December as structural steel work on the building finished.
For the week prior to the building "topping out" ceremony to celebrate the placement of the final steel beam, building contractor Adolfson and Peterson Construction (AP) invited school families and community members to visit the construction site and sign their name and/or personal message to the 30-foot long beam.
When more than 200 new Chromebooks arrived in classrooms at Woodglen Elementary in October, the impact was quick and undeniable for the students and staff at this Thornton elementary school.
As part of more than $200,000 in Instructional Upgrades money promised to the school through the 2016 Bond Program, Woodglen earmarked $51,000 to add 216 Chromebooks (six Chrome Carts) to supplement the school’s aging fleet of mobile devices.
Work has began on more than 30 construction and improvement projects planned for Summer 2019 as part of the ongoing 2016 Bond Program.
Projects include the start of construction such on a second district Career and Technical Education Center campus; the completion of a two-year renovation of STEM Lab in Northglenn; larger second phases of work at Horizon and Northglenn high schools ...
