Construction - Here we go! With the planning and design phase complete, construction is underway at your school to accomplish the individual projects of your school's investment plan.
The renovation and reconstruction of STEM Lab was identified as part of a $350 million school construction bond approved by voters in November 2016. When the school's renovation is completed for the start of the 2019-20 school year, it will allow enrollment to grow from 475 current students to an anticipated 720 students and provide more STEM-learning opportunities for students across the Five Star District.
Phase II June 2018 - August 2019
Phase I May 2017 - May 2018
IN PROGRESS - Phase 2 - June 2018-August 2019: Demolish existing west wing. Build new west wing. Phase 2 Classroom Plan
COMPLETED - Phase 1 - June 2017 - May 2018: Build new east wing. Renovate portions of existing east wing. Phase 1 Classroom Plan
The construction area for Phase 1 of this project will require the use of the existing playground area. STEM Lab students will utilize the adjacent city of Northglenn park for recess activities. Student pick-up and drop-off areas will not be impacted by the first phase of construction. (See Phase 1 Site Logistics Plan at bottom of page)
