The renovation and reconstruction of STEM Lab was identified as part of a $350 million school construction bond approved by voters in November 2016. The school's renovation was completed for the start of the 2019-20 school year and will allow enrollment to grow from 475 current students to an anticipated 720 students and provide more STEM-learning opportunities for students across the Five Star District.
Phase II June 2018 - August 2019
Phase I May 2017 - May 2018
COMPLETED - Phase 2 - June 2018-August 2019: Demolish existing west wing. Build new west wing.
COMPLETED - Phase 1 - June 2017 - May 2018: Build new east wing. Renovate portions of existing east wing.
The construction area for Phase 1 of this project will require the use of the existing playground area. STEM Lab students will utilize the adjacent city of Northglenn park for recess activities. Student pick-up and drop-off areas will not be impacted by the first phase of construction. (See Phase 1 Site Logistics Plan at bottom of page)
