Happy New Year to all of our students, staff and families. As you return from what we hope was a restful winter break, we want to remind you of some previously shared changes to the district calendar and current school plans for January.

Important Dates/Reminders for this week

  • Tuesday, Jan. 5 - Wednesday, Jan. 6: No school for students (P-12). During this time, teachers will participate in professional learning. These instructional dates will be made up in February (see below).

  • Thursday, Jan. 7: ALL students  (P-12) return to full-time remote learning

See the graphic below for other key dates.

January Plans

The district remains committed to resuming in-person/hybrid learning opportunities for those who chose them and to do so in a way that allows for the continuation of in-person/hybrid learning for the remainder of the school year with minimal disruptions. Keep in mind, a full-time remote learning option remains available for those who chose it.

To meet the goal of providing an in-person/hybrid option for our students and families, the district will monitor case rates and patterns daily through Jan. 15 and determine no later than that date if conditions support a return to in-person/hybrid learning on Jan. 25 as proposed. Learn more about the criteria that the district will use to monitor case rates and patterns

The community will be notified Friday, Jan. 15 if there is a change to the proposed date.

*Keep in mind, the learning plans for district charter schools may be different. Please check with your child’s charter school for more information.
