Dear Five Star Community,

As we finish our second week of in-person and hybrid learning, we’re grateful to our educators, school staff and students for adapting so well to the new health and safety measures we have in place in our buildings.

A Message From The Superintendent

Watch the video message from Superintendent Chris Gdowski below about the community's positive response to new health and safety protocols and what we’re hearing from our public health partners.

A Message from Superintendent Gdowski

Kudos are in order - thank you for doing your part to keep our schools safe!

  • The Five Star community - staff, students and families - has stepped up to make in-person learning an option by quickly adapting to new health and safety protocols.

  • Those in person are wearing their masks, keeping their distance and washing/sanitizing their hands throughout the day.

  • Because our school communities are following these protocols so well, it’s minimizing the risk of transmission within our buildings.

Although our public health partners are proud of the response within our school buildings, they indicate the transmission outside of our school buildings is on the rise.

We can do this! Let’s remember to do our part before, during and after school hours.
What we do outside of school can have an impact on what level of in-person learning can occur within our schools, so we ask you to please continue to do your part:

  • Wear your mask during public and private gatherings

  • Keep your distance

  • Wash/sanitize your hands frequently

  • Monitor your health, and stay home when you are symptomatic
