Request Student Records
Current Students:
(Active students/withdrawn current school year or previous school year)
Records of current students may be requested by students, parents/guardians or third parties as outlined by FERPA. If you are a current student or a parent/guardian of a student who is still enrolled, your school keeps the student’s academic records. This includes things like report cards, attendance, and immunization records.
To get a copy of any records, please contact the registrar at the school your student currently attends. The registrar can help you with:
- Report cards and transcripts
- Attendance and discipline reports
- Immunization and health records
- Full academic files
Records stay with students as they move from grade to grade and from one school to another. You don’t need to reach out to schools the student used to attend, the current school has everything you need.
If your student recently left the district during the current or last school year, their records are still at the last school they attended. Those records stay there for one full school year after the student leaves.
Former Students:
(Inactive students/withdrawn more than one school year)
Records of former students may be requested by former students or third parties as outlined by FERPA. If a student has graduated or withdrawn from the district for more than one year, their permanent academic records are stored at the District Records Office. These records have been archived, and there is a fee for ordering copies.
An official transcript request typically includes the student’s high school transcript, available standardized test scores (such as ACT, SAT, and Advanced Placement), any recorded industry certificates (beginning with the Class of 2023), and the immunization record on file. Additional items such as ACT WorkKeys, and ASVAB may also be included, if available.
Please note that not all records are guaranteed to be present, as participation in assessments or certificate programs may vary, and not all scores or documents may have been reported to or captured by the District.
A student’s complete archived academic record may include K–12 grades, enrollment history, and immunization documentation, depending on availability.
Diplomas and GEDs are not stored in student academic records.
