SCHOOLS OPEN TO CHOICE FOR THE 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR

ROUND 2

This list includes schools that are open to Choice for new families and students.  If your family has a sibling at a school that is not on this list you can still apply for siblings to attend there.  If your family has a student that is attending a school that is not on the list and you have moved out of the boundary for that school, you can apply for your student to continue at the school.  Families may apply to return to their boundary school through the Choice process even if the boundary school is not on this list.

Per Superintendent Policy, in-district applications are considered before out-of-district applications.  All Choice applications received by the March 31st deadline will be considered at the same time.  There is NOT an appeal process to denied Choice applications. The Choice Application is located here

NOTICE TO PARENTS OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES:

The Choice program is open to students with disabilities. Students with mild/moderate disabilities may apply to any school open to Choice on this list.

Students with disabilities placed in a Significant Support Needs, Affective Needs or Autism Spectrum Disorder Program may apply to any program listed in the special education section below.  If no programs are listed below, the district does not have the available space or staff to accommodate students from outside a school’s attendance area or outside of the Adams 12 boundaries with existing resources.

TUITION PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS

Beginning with the 2020/21 school year enrollment process, priority admissions to tuition based preschool programs will be managed through the district’s Schools of Choice program round 1.  After round 1, any remaining spaces will be available on a first-come, first-served basis directly at each school.  Please contact the preschool site for more information.

Please note, approval to attend a preschool in an area other than that of the student’s boundary school or a magnet school is for preschool only. A student who wishes to attend their out-of-boundary preschool or magnet preschool for kindergarten must apply for Choice when transitioning from preschool to kindergarten.

Tuition-based preschool will cost $365 per month. There is a non-refundable $50 registration fee and $315 deposit (that are both applied to the last month's tuition).  If your tuition account becomes delinquent your student will no longer be allowed to attend the Tuition Preschool program until the delinquent account has been brought up to date. This application does not guarantee a spot in preschool. If you are accepted in the lottery you will then enroll your child with your approved preschool site.

The sites below have spaces remaining as of 2/11/2020.  Please contact the school directly to enroll:
