How will this plan be created?

Input from district stakeholders will be a key element to build this Long Range Facilities Master (FLRP). We will engage and involve our community in the following ways:

Blueprint 2032 Task Force: We will bring together a diverse group of students, parents, staff, community members and business leaders to help guide the creation of this plan.

This group will include:

  • Parents

  • Students

  • Teachers

  • Building administrators

  • Building staff

  • Business leaders

  • Representatives from local faith/non-profit organizations

  • Higher education representatives

  • City/county government representatives

  • District senior leadership and administrative staff

The Blueprint 2032 Task Force will meet five times over the course of the 2021-2022 school year, analyzing district data, developing options and eventually delivering a completed plan.

Who serves on this Task Force?

Long Range Planning and Advisory Committee: The district's existing community-led Long Range Planning Advisory Committee will serve in an advisory role and oversee work of the community-driven Blueprint 2032 Task Force. This will include monitoring identified master plan development timelines and milestones, receiving regular progress updates, providing feedback where appropriate and giving preliminary approval to a draft Facilities Long Range Plan.

Opportunities for district-wide community input: There will be strategic opportunities throughout the plan process for the Five Star Community to provide their input on the development of this plan. This will include a district-wide survey in Fall 2021 to provide their input on district facility needs and an opportunity in Winter 2022 to offer feedback on proposed plan options as well as community dialogue sessions.

Board of Education: The Board of Education will receive regular updates throughout the 2021-2022 school year on the progress of this process. They are expected to adopt a final version of this plan in Spring 2022 and also consider any associated funding proposal.
