Boys soccer team helps Marshall Fire victims find their lost keepsakes

Boys soccer team Marshall Fire service project

On Tuesday, January 4th, members of the 09B North Select Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club used their team building activity as an opportunity to help the  Marshall Fire victims. All the boys on this team are in 6th and 7th grade and many attend Rocky Top Middle and Stem Lab in the Five Star District. Along with playing games and creating vision boards, these boys were able to complete building 20 ash sifting trays to help Marshall Fire victims as they begin going through the ashes of their homes. The boys screwed and stapled and created amazing tools to help families suffering from the fire. We learned about this project through JustServe.org. These boys worked together to have fun and to give back to those in need. It was a very powerful evening.
