2016 Bond Program - Longe Range Planning Advisory Committee
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about individual bond projects currently underway, projects planned for summer 2018 and the planning for a new Career and Technical Education campus. LRPAC is a community-led oversight committee featuring parents and community members of Adams 12 Five Star Schools who serve as a bond oversight and accountability committee for the 2016 Bond Program.

ELEVATE
In Fall 2017, more than 3,000 people and 49 schools participated in the first phase of ELEVATE, a year-long engagement process bringing parents, community members, students and staff together to develop a five-year strategic plan to elevate student success in the Five Star District. The second phase in Spring 2018 seeks further engagement as we build-on and prioritize what we learned in the fall to create strategic directions for the next five years. Those attending the board meeting will get the latest news about ELEVATE and have a chance to weigh-in on prioritizing those strategic directions.

Potential State School Funding Ballot Measure - Initiative 93
An outside organization has started gathering signatures for a statewide ballot measure that would increase funding for public education. The board will hear a presentation about Initiative 93, also called the Great Schools, Thriving Communities ballot measure. This initiative funds expanded educational opportunities through tax increments on income earned above $150,000 and on corporations. It also stabilizes the volatile local share of education funding by first lowering property tax rates and then freezing the rates.
