Overview

Our first priority as a school district is the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Adams 12 Five Star Schools highly-trained safety and security team work collaboratively with staff and local law enforcement to provide a safe learning environment for nearly 39,000 students in every classroom, every day.

All of our schools have emergency action plans and school staff make security awareness a daily priority. Schools practice safety procedures throughout the school year and are trained in how to respond in emergency situations.

    Safety & Security Department

The Safety & Security department for the Five Star District operates 24 hours a day year round, including weekends and holidays. Security officers patrol schools after hours and on weekends, and the district Communication Center is manned with a live person at all time.

If you need to report a non-life threatening emergency such as vandalism or suspicious activity around our schools, contact the district Communication Center at (720) 972-4911.

In the case of a life threatening emergency, call 911.
