The PLan

From telling stories about what we already do well to dreaming about our future, we built upon our recent success as part of the ELEVATE process during the 2017-18 school year. With these big ideas, we categorized them into six major focus areas for our future.

Refining the Tactics

Working through the community-determined focus areas, details and action items for each focus area were refined at the ELEVATE Summit in April 2018 and refined by district staff. In June 2018, the ELEVATE Core Team presented the refined tactics within each focus area to the Board of Education.

Goals

The six focus areas drive the plan to achieve the following three goals:

Student Achievement Climate & Culture Social-Emotional Well-Being
  • Raise achievement levels and close gaps for all student groups (special education, emerging bilinguals, students of color, at-risk)
  • Increase graduation rate while increasing rigor
  • Outperform peer districts
  • Students, parents and staff take pride in and feel connected to the district’s positive culture

  • Know every student by name, strength and need

Prioritized Investments

Of the entire new plan to ELEVATE student success, what would we prioritize first? What would be the first steps? What if we had additional funding to help jumpstart the plan?
