We are excited to welcome our families and students for the 2022-2023 Preschool Year.
Family Orientations will be held Monday, August 22nd. Plan to attend one of the following sessions:
- AM Session is 8:30-9:30 AM
- PM Session is 12:30 to 1:30 PM
Please enter through the front entrance of your child's school and sign in at the front desk. Please bring photo identification for security screening. Staff will direct you to the preschool classrooms.
The orientation will consist of a presentation (please arrive at start of orientation), classroom tour, as well as time to connect with classroom teachers. Please bring required paperwork including emergency contact forms, physicals and immunization records (if not yet submitted). Classroom supplies can also be dropped off.
For questions regarding Family Orientation, please contact the classroom teacher.
Students can attend preschool if they are 3 years old by their first day of school, and if they turn 5 after Oct. 1, 2021. Students that turn 5 years old on or before October 1, 2021 will not be eligible for preschool (instead, they would enroll in kindergarten).
Our Philosophy & Approach
An extensive body of research demonstrates the long-lasting effects of high-quality early educational experiences. Our staff partners with families to assure that our youngest learners develop positive attitudes about learning, as well as strong developmental and academic foundations for success in their future school experiences.
The Five Star Schools Early Childhood Education Program offers three preschool options:
- Tuition - Limited, competitively-priced preschool spots available
- Colorado Preschool Program (CPP) - Free preschool for students that qualify based on certain risk factors
- Special Education (Child Find) - Free preschool for students that qualify based on developmental delays
