Parents, community members get update on Anthem construction
Construction expected to start in April
Adams 12 Five Star Schools hosted a community meeting Feb. 28 at the Parkside Community Center in the Anthem Highlands neighborhood to share new information on the anticipated start of construction on a new P-8 school in the community.
Construction is expected to begin on the school in April. About 75 parents and community members listened to updates on design and construction as well the process to establish a school attendance boundary and hire the school's principal.
The construction of the new school, which help relieve overcrowding on existing district elementary and middle schools in the northwest part of the district is possible thanks to voter support of a $350 million school construction bond.
