Board of Education cancels election for November

Three candidates elected for respective districts

On September 4, 2019 the Board of Education canceled the Nov. 2019 school board election and declared three candidates elected for their respective districts. 

Lori Goldstein is a newly elected member of the board from Director District No. 1 and will serve a four-year term. Incumbent Jamey Lockley will serve a second four-year term as director for District 2. Incumbent Laura Mitchell will serve a four-year term as director for District 5. 

Between Election Day and the next regular meeting of the Board of Education or the Board's organization meeting, whichever comes first, these candidates will be provided certificates of the election and will take the oath of office within 10 days and thereafter will be qualified to participate in meetings of the Board of Education.
