Swearing-in ceremony for new board members scheduled for Nov. 24, 2015

Voters in the Five Star District elected four residents to serve on the Adams 12 Five Star Schools Board of Education on Nov. 3, according to preliminary results from the Adams County Clerk and Recorder's Office and the Broomfield County Clerk and Recorder's Office.

Incumbent Norm Jennings will serve a second four-year term as director for District 1. Incumbent Brian Batz, who was appointed to the board in April 2015, was elected to serve a two-year term as director for District 4. Two new members were elected to the board. Jamey Lockley was elected to Director District No. 2 and Laura Mitchell to Director District No. 5. Both will serve a four-year term.

Once the Adams County Clerk and Recorder's Office and the Broomfield County Clerk and Recorder's Office certify the election results, all three will be sworn in Nov. 24 at a special board meeting.
