Help define the “look” of the district’s CTE expansion
Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities for students will nearly double in the next few years thanks to the support of voters in the Five Star community. A new CTE center is set to be constructed in the center of the district and a planned two-year renovation of Bollman Technical Education Center will begin this spring.
With the expansion of programming, we look to further define CTE in the Five Star District in order to make it easier for families to learn about and participate in the many CTE opportunities. By establishing a new brand, all CTE programs will be linked by name, color and core values across all district high schools and CTE centers.
The survey will remain open through March 10. Your feedback will be considered as a final decision on the new CTE brand is made and announced later this year.
Wondering how we got here?
In April 2018, the district formed a CTE Brand Steering Committee of CTE administrators and educators from across the district to study the potential to bring a unified brand to the district’s CTE programs.
From October through December 2018, more than 70 focus groups of staff and students from across all district high schools were convened. Group members were asked to relate their own understanding and knowledge of district CTE programs through words and themes that they commonly link with CTE. They were then asked to provide input on potential brand colors and to brainstorm names for the program.
