Contractor selected for 2018 school renovation projects
Schools to receive bond improvements in Summer 2018
Adams 12 Five Star Schools has selected Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) as the Construction Manager/General Contractor for six school renovation projects scheduled to take place in Summer 2018.
AP will be responsible for renovation projects to take place at Mountain View, North Mor, North Star, Stukey, Westview and Woodglen elementary schools. The planned renovations are included as part of a $350 million bond approved by voters in November 2016. They include improvements to critical deferred maintenance needs such as aging school mechanical systems as well safety and security upgrades.
Design Advisory Groups (DAG) were formed for each school in Spring 2017 to assist the project architect in the development of a list of primary and secondary renovation and improvement priorities not originally identified for the school but possible thanks to money set aside in the project budget specifically for school renovations and specials program improvements.
Bennett Wagner Grody Architects is leading the design work for Mountain View, North Star and Woodglen elementary renovations. Cunnignham Group Architecture is responsible for design work at North Mor, Stukey and Westview elementary schools.
