ELEVATE Summit brings together advocates districtwide

Friday, April 6, 2018 - 12:30pm

Over 200 participants help prioritize action steps for the new five-year plan

On April 5, 2018, we hosted the ELEVATE Summit where over 230 parents, students, staff and community members came together to continue the year-long ELEVATE engagement process of determining a new five-year strategic plan.

The Summit was the capstone event for the process and featured opportunities to:

  • Learn about the the strengths of the district discovered in the fall through telling stories of when the district or a school did right by a student. The stories were organized into strength categories and the ELEVATE Core Team refined them into 5 key strengths of the district:
    • At Adams 12 Five Star Schools, we
      • Focus on Students
      • Care
      • Collaborate
      • Engage
      • Empower
  • The majority of the day was spent refining and prioritizing action steps within six focus areas determined from the fall engagement sessions:
    • Safe Schools
    • 21st Century Learners
    • Outside-the-Classroom Experiences
    • Diverse Learning
    • Social/Emotional Learning
    • World-Class Staff

The event was a huge success thanks to all the participants who "clipped in" to engage in the hard work of prioritizing actions to ensure we ELEVATE student success over the next five years.

A special thanks to our sponsors:
