The U.S. Department of Education selected Mark Sass, Legacy High School history teacher, as a 2015-2016 Teaching Ambassador Classroom Fellow. Through the Teaching Ambassador Fellowship Program, standout teachers are provided opportunities to share their expertise with colleagues and to learn about and contribute to national education policy issues in an effort to improve education.

Only nine teachers across the nation were selected — three serving in a full-time capacity with the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, D.C., and six remaining in their classrooms and participating part-time.
