171 school districts sign on to proposed legislation

More than 170 superintendents, including Five Star Superintendent Chris Gdowski, representing 93 percent of Colorado's public school students have signed on to proposed legislation that would modernize the state's school finance formula. On Oct. 3 during a Legacy High School football practice, sophomore Cameron Shelley (Cam) sustained an injury to his spinal cord resulting in loss of movement in his arms and legs. Cam was transported to Children’s Hospital where he and his family were informed that his injury, Central Cord Syndrome, would likely cause him to be hospitalized for several months.
