Board of Education honors Women's History Month 2025

The Adams 12 Five Star Schools Board of Education voted unanimously to recognize Women's History Month at its February 26, 2025 meeting. 

This Women's History Month, with the theme of Moving Forward Together, may we recognize the long, storied history of great women helping to realize our community's highest aspirations. May we all continue working to build a world worthy of the dreams and goals of all women and girls.

Throughout history, the vision and achievements of powerful women have strengthened our schools, communities and state. These women opened the doors of opportunity wider for all of us. Though their stories too often go untold, all of us stand on the shoulders of these sung and unsung trailblazers—from the women who took a stand as suffragists, abolitionists, and labor leaders to pioneering scientists and engineers, groundbreaking artists, proud public servants, and brave members of our Armed Forces.

The proclamation voted on by the board recognizes the district’s commitment to celebrating and recognizing the contributions of women and girls across our country, state and in our schools. You can click here to read it.
