- Leadership
The Adams 12 Five Star Schools Board of Education voted unanimously to recognize Black History Month at its Jan. 17 meeting.
Black History Month is a time to reflect on, celebrate and learn about the many contributions and achievements of Black Americans throughout history. Black History Month is a time for all Americans to remember the stories, teachings, suffering, struggles, strengths and triumphs of Black Americans who gave a voice to the daily struggles for freedom, equality, diversity, equity and inclusion. The proclamation voted on by the board recognizes the district’s commitment to celebrating and recognizing the contributions of Black Americans, Black Coloradans and Black Five Star students and staff.
