  • Leadership

The Adams 12 Five Star Schools Board of Education passed a resolution in support of Proposition 108 at its Aug. 17 regular board meeting. If passed, Prop 108 would dedicate state income tax revenue for affordable housing programs.

In its resolution, the board highlighted the following:

  • Adams County experiences the highest rate of homelessness in the state of Colorado among students under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, educating roughly 12% of Colorado's homeless students
  • 4% of the overall student population of Adams 12 Five Star Schools is identified as homeless
  • home prices have doubled in the last 10 years
