Changes coming to web filtering on student devices

Starting Monday, Feb. 26, there will be a significant update to the web filtering on student devices within our district. 

The district currently has two tiers of web filtering on student devices. During school hours, browsing is limited to educational content, but allows for more relaxed browsing capabilities after school. This includes access to more websites, including some social media platforms. 

Starting on Feb. 26, the stricter web filtering will extend beyond school hours. This means that student devices will only be able to access educational content, even after school hours.

This decision was made after careful consideration and feedback from school leaders.
