District hosts first Native Youth Summit

As part of its Native American Heritage Month recognition, Adams 12 Five Star Schools hosted its first Native Youth Summit.

Students from Adams 12 Five Star Schools, Jeffco Public Schools, Denver Public Schools and Cherry Creek Schools engaged with members of our local Native non-profit organizations and institutions of higher learning. They participated in post secondary learning, leadership development, cultural identity awareness and activities. This event celebrated Native culture and focused on strengthening community and belonging among students.
