Introducing our new Board of Education members

Adams 12 Five Star Schools welcomes two new directors and one returning director to the Board of Education. The members are scheduled to be sworn in at the Dec. 6, 2023 regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting.

Meet the newly elected board members:

Battistelli swears in to the Adams 12 Five Star Schools Board of Education

Paula Battistelli (Secretary, Director, District 2)

As a district parent and community member since 2013, Paula is actively engaged in supporting the district’s success. Over the years, she has served on the District Accountability Committee and participated in the Five Star Leadership Academy.

As a member of the Board of Education, my goal is to ensure that all kids receive a high quality, innovative educational experience in the Five Star District,” said Paula.

Goldstein swears in to the Adams 12 Five Star Schools Board of Education

Lori Goldstein (President, Director, District 1)

As an incumbent returning to the board for a second term, Lori looks forward to continuing her service to Adams 12 Five Star Schools. Lori has called the Five Star District home for more than 40 years, previously serving as a teacher, and since then has watched her own children attend and succeed in the district.

“As our district continues to deliver quality instruction to every student in our district, the data we use to show student success, from assessments to workforce readiness will continue to improve,” Lori said. “We will be the school district people want to send their children to and educators want to work.”

Marsh-Holschen swears in to the Adams 12 Five Star Schools Board of Education

Alexis Marsh-Holschen (Director, District 5)

Alexis calls the Five Star District home. She went to school in Adams 12 Five Star Schools, graduating from Legacy High School and now her own children are students in the district.

“Giving every student a great education that readies them for whatever their next step in life is my vision for Adams 12 Five Star Schools,” said Alexis.

All three are excited to join the Board of Education and help support elevating student success.
