Key takeaways
Results from the Family-School Relationships Survey this year show that we continue to grow as a district in serving you and your children.
- More families said their school matches their child’s developmental needs.
We are excited to see an increase of 2 percent in the “School Fit” category, which measures how well their school matches their child’s developmental needs. Areas with the most growth include how well activities match students’ interests and how well teaching styles match students’ learning styles with an increase of 3 percentage points each.
- We saw positive growth in the "Barriers to Engagement" category.
It is encouraging to see increases in the overall school-home communication area. Strong family-school relationships are key to student success, and communication is the foundation of those relationships. Seeing parents’ positive feelings around communication, involvement opportunities and an overall welcoming school environment helps support our success in achieving our positive climate and culture goal as a district.
