Remember to vote on local school issues this Election

Dear Five Star community,

Over the next few weeks, hundreds of thousands of Coloradans will cast their ballots in this year’s General Election, which features numerous national and state elected offices as well as many state and local measures, including two here in Adams 12 Five Star Schools - Ballot Issues 5D & 5E.

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to learn more about Ballot Issues 5D & 5E, and to vote your entire ballot, including local school issues.

On Aug. 28, 2024, the Adams 12 Five Star Schools Board of Education unanimously approved the placement of a $34.5 million mill levy override for operations (Ballot Issue 5D) and an $830 million bond for buildings (Ballot Issue 5E) on the November ballot.

Below, you will find helpful resources such as where you can drop off your ballot, how to vote in person, and how to register to vote if you’re not currently registered. You can register through Election Day.

Election Resources

This election presents an important opportunity to make your voice heard on critical issues that impact not only education but the well-being of our entire community. Whether it’s local school board elections, funding measures, or other issues directly affecting our schools, your vote truly matters.

Thank you for being active members of the Five Star community and for your commitment to the success of our schools and students.

Sincerely,

Chris Gdowski
Superintendent
