Summer 2025 Bond Projects Announced

With the passage of the $830 million bond last November, construction and information technology (IT) projects across Adams 12 Five Star Schools are well underway. 

This spring and summer, general construction work is scheduled to begin at eight schools across the district. Projects at these schools include roof replacements, paving and new playgrounds. General construction work will begin at the conclusion of the school year and is scheduled to be completed before the start of the 2025-26 school year. 

In addition to general construction, IT projects are taking place throughout the district. Upgraded network cabling will be installed in 12 schools, six of which are also receiving general construction work. The upgraded cabling will improve the reliability and performance of school IT infrastructure.

Intercoms are also being replaced at two schools, and all district schools will have improved security cameras installed, in addition to general technology upgrades. 

Work on IT projects will carry over into the 2025-26 school year, but all work will be completed outside school hours to minimize disruptions.

These projects represent the first round of investments outlined in the 2024 bond. In the coming years, the district has a wide range of renovation projects planned at all of its schools. These include the rebuild of Thornton High School and the north side of the existing FutureForward Bollman campus, as well as the construction of a central kitchen and food warehouse, which will allow the district to offer students a greater variety of healthy options while reducing distribution expenses.
