Summer Bond Projects Set to Transform Schools

Summer Bond Projects Set to Transform Schools

This summer, Adams 12 Five Star Schools will take a major step toward delivering on the community’s vision for the 2024 bond.

Construction projects will kick off in late May, immediately following the conclusion of the school year. While most of this work will occur over the summer months, it reflects more than a year of preparation. Design for the majority of these projects began in spring 2025 and was shaped through close collaboration with school and district leaders to ensure each investment meets the needs of students and staff.

The scale of this summer’s work spans across dozens of schools and a wide range of improvements. Students will return in the fall to upgraded classrooms and common spaces, revamped landscapes, enhanced career and technical education (CTE) spaces, updated school furnishings, as well as key infrastructure improvements.

This year also marks the beginning of three of the district’s biggest bond projects, including the rebuild of Thornton High School, expansion at FutureForward at Bollman and construction of a Nutrition Services Center. Construction at these facilities will break ground this year and carry into the following years.

This summer is the second year of the 2024 bond cycle, through which all schools in the district will see investments.
