Bound by Books event promoted culture at Centennial
- Care
- Focus on Students
On Wednesday, April 2nd, Centennial Elementary hosted its Bound by Books event from 10 AM to 2 PM. Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade participated in a variety of book-themed activities that promoted connection, creativity, and a love of reading. They enjoyed coloring, reading their favorite books to one another, and listening to stories read aloud by staff. Families were also invited to join their students for lunch, creating a warm sense of culture and belonging throughout our school community. This event also supported students as they transitioned back into learning after spring break, a time that can often present challenges. Thanks to the support of our Family Outreach Liaison Dyann, Registrar Christa, and Office Manager Heather, the day was a joyful and meaningful experience for all.
Special thanks to the Centennial Elementary community for submitting this Five Star Story.
This story exemplifies our ELEVATE Focus Area: Diverse Learning. Sharing stories of how students receive engaging learning experiences and the focused-attention they need through appropriate student-to-staff ratios and varied programming.
