Coyote Ridge Elementary celebrates Mwebaza Day
- Collaborate
- Engage
On March 29th, Coyote Ridge Elementary celebrated Mwebaza Day by holding a video call with St. Paul, their sister school in Uganda, Africa. Students at both schools sang songs and asked questions about life in Uganda and life here in Colorado. This partnership has blossomed over the years and the school has nearly 100 students that participate in the Mwebaza Club every month. Club members organized the special event which culminated in a schoolwide fruit juice toast and classroom lessons on social enterprises.
As a result of the Mwebaza Foundation students at Coyote Ridge have a greater understanding of life in other countries and ways to be responsible global citizens. It is a mutually beneficial partnership grounded in cross-cultural education and awareness.
