District spelling bee is a success at The Studio School

This year’s District Spelling Bee was held on Wednesday, February 1, at The Studio School! 30 of the district’s top spellers competed for three hours and 31 rounds. At the end were left standing Aditi Muthukumar, 7th grade at Hulstrom K-8, and Aadhya Muthukumar, 4th grade at Hulstrom K-8 - yes, sisters! Aditi, a multiple-time district winner ultimately took home the top trophy. Aadyha took home 2nd place, and Julia Angelicchio, 7th grade at Westlake Middle, placed 3rd.
