Five Star Online students build community through giving

The spirit of community at Five Star Online Academy (FSOA) shone brightly this winter, proving that connection and compassion go far beyond the screen.

Thanks to a generous partnership with B & M Roofing in Northglenn, FSOA hosted a Winter Celebration rooted in our district’s strengths of collaboration and care. The donation allowed the academy to provide gifts for attending students—lovingly wrapped by a dedicated group of parent volunteers—ensuring every child felt a true sense of belonging.

The heart of the event focused on empowering students to give back to those in need. Using donated materials, students worked together to hand-craft 10 fleece blankets for patients at Children’s Hospital Colorado. This project allowed our students to engage with their community in a meaningful way, shifting the focus from receiving to making a tangible difference for other children facing health challenges.
