Horizon partners with UPSWING to host Leadership Academy

In partnership with the UPSWING Foundation, Horizon High School was chosen as 1 of 10 schools in the state to host their very own "Horizon Leadership Academy". The “UPSWING Leadership Academy powered by Janssen Sports” offers opportunities for student athletes to develop leadership skills in. We’ll be running year-long cohorts for “Emerging Leaders” and “Veteran Leaders” which will cover topics such as commitment, confidence, composure, character, conflict, team building, and vocal leadership. Through the development of these students, our athletics programs and overall school community has seen an increase in student leadership. The lessons being taught and learned will benefit these students throughout high school and their lives. The leadership academy will impact 100 selected student athletes for a minimum of the next 3 years.
