Legacy has another remarkable marching band performance

On Saturday, October 26, Legacy High School's marching band achieved another remarkable milestone at the Colorado Bandmasters Association State Marching Band Championships. With a stellar performance, Legacy earned a silver medal, scoring an impressive 89.55. This achievement reflects the band’s extraordinary commitment to excellence, community and tradition.

Legacy holds the unmatched distinction of qualifying for the Colorado Bandmasters State Championship Finals Competition every year that they have competed. Over the last 18 years, Legacy has never placed below second, consistently earning gold or silver medals—a feat no other school in the state can claim.

Marching band is more than just performing on the field—it teaches students valuable life skills, including teamwork, discipline, time management, and perseverance. Music education encourages students to collaborate toward a common goal while fostering creativity, leadership, and a strong sense of responsibility. The countless hours spent practicing, refining techniques, and working as a team prepare students not only for competitions but for future success in all aspects of life.

Congratulations to the band directors, Trey Tafoya and Brian Ebert, and the talented students for their incredible dedication. The band’s success is also a result of the unwavering support from the Legacy administration, student body, the Legacy High School Band Boosters, and the broader community. This encouragement fuels the students’ motivation to push boundaries and achieve new heights.

This silver medal is not just a reflection of talent and effort—it represents the pride, passion, and unity that make Legacy a shining star in Colorado and the Five Star community.
