Legacy recognized for its counseling program

Names of Legacy Counseling team (Left to Right): Allison Albertson, Luke Slayback, Candice Wallace, Val Vigil, Melissa Sayre, Beth Allen, Jeff Hargis, Carrie Kujawa

Congratulations to the Legacy High School Counseling team that has become a Recognized ASCA Model Program® (RAMP®). The American School Counseling Association (ASCA) recognizes schools that are committed to delivering an exemplary school counseling program through the RAMP® designation. Honorees are awarded for aligning their program with the criteria in the ASCA National Model®, a framework for a data-informed school counseling program. Research findings indicate fully implemented school counseling programs are associated with a range of positive student educational and behavioral outcomes. The LHS Counseling team worked hard to achieve the RAMP® designation and will be honored at a recognition ceremony at ASCA’s Annual Conference in Long Beach, Calif., on July 14, 2025. Adams 12 Five Star Schools and the LHS community values the contributions of the Legacy counseling team to support all students.

Legacy High School will now join fellow Adams 12 Five Star Schools RAMP® school, Rocky Top Middle School, and 9 other schools in Colorado as a RAMP® School.

Special thanks to the Legacy High School community for submitting this Five Star Story.
