In celebration of Read Across America Day, Superintendent Gdowski visited Leroy Elementary on Tuesday, March 4th to read to students. Leroy student ambassadors met with Superintendent Gdowski to guide him around to the classes he would be reading at. Students and staff were excited to have storytime with the Superintendent.
Each year, National Read Across America Day is celebrated on March 2nd. The annual event is part of the Read Across America initiative created by the National Education Association in 1998 to encourage reading in children. On National Read Across America Day, students, teachers, parents, and community members around the nation come together to read books and celebrate the joy of reading.
